A fast-paced financial trading house are offering the opportunity for a Middle Office Analyst role join their growing team. This is a critical role supporting the full trade lifecycle and ensuring seamless coordination between their front and back offices.
You will act as the operational backbone of their trading activities. You'll work closely with traders, risk managers and compliance teams to ensure the integrity of trade capture, risk reporting and operational controls.
Key Responsibilities of the Middle Office Analyst include:
* Trade Support: Monitor and reconcile trade activity across multiple asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives)
* Daily Reconciliation: Validate P&L and position reconciliations between front office and back office systems
* Operational Risk Management: Identify and escalate trade discrepancies, operational issues, or breaks in process
* System Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and improving trade capture, booking, and reporting tools
* Cross-Department Coordination: Liaise with traders, risk, compliance, IT, and counterparties to ensure data accuracy and timely resolution of issues
* Process Improvement: Participate in middle office project work and initiatives to improve efficiency, automation, and controls
Key Requirements of the Middle Office Analyst include:
* 1–3 years of experience in a middle office, trade support, or operations role within financial trading
* Strong understanding of financial products and trade lifecycle (including derivatives, FX, fixed income, and/or equities)
* Proficient in Excel (VBA a plus); experience with trading systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Murex, Calypso) is advantageous
* High attention to detail with a strong analytical mindset
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced environment
