Required to start as soon as possible – 36 hours per week all year round working – hours to be agreed with the Headteacher.

Permanent position.

Scale E15 - salary scale – Starting at £33,987

Lovelace wish to recruit an enthusiastic, passionate and committed Site Manager who will be proud to ensure our school is a safe, inviting and a positive learning environment.

You will advise and proactively work with school leaders to ensure the school runs as efficiently and effectively as possible. A successful candidate will ensure compliance with health and safety of the school facilities and site. You will be responsible for managing the maintenance, security and cleanliness of the school premises including the line management of our cleaning team.

Lovelace Primary School is on a wonderful site with 2 halls, a large grass sports field onsite, Forest School facilities, a swimming pool and specialist teaching areas for cooking, art and music

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, adaptable and have excellent skills in time management and communication. Previous experience within a school environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

The successful candidate will need to:

•Ensure the health, safety and welfare of pupils is maintained at all times

•Have knowledge and skills in the following areas: COSHH, Fire Safety, Water Management – Legionella, Health and Safety at Work, Manual Handling, Working at Height, First Aid and Building Management Systems

•Maintain the school building and grounds to a high standard

•Carry out risk assessments

•Work closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager

•Implement energy-saving measures to support the school’s sustainability goals

•Ensure regular servicing and safety checks of all equipment used by staff and pupils

•Maintain accurate records of maintenance and compliance such as water hygiene and fire safety testing

•Be competent to work independently using their own initiative

•Be IT proficient for record keeping and communication

•Be able to attend call outs to the school when needed
