People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Manchester .
This is an excellent short-term opportunity offering great rates of pay, consistent work, night out allowances, and a professional working environment.
This role would suit candidates with experience as a Class 2 Driver, HGV Driver, LGV Driver, Curtain Side Driver or Delivery Driver.
Please note: This role will involve occasional night outs.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• 05:00 – 08:00 starts
• Approximately 10-hour shifts
Rates of Pay
• £16.00 per hour – Days
• £26.40 per night out

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:
• Completing deliveries and collections using curtain-side vehicles
• Safely and efficiently operating Category C vehicles
• Ensuring all loads are safely secured before transportation
• Carrying out daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections
• Reporting any vehicle defects or issues to management promptly
• Completing deliveries in a timely and professional manner
• Communicating effectively with the transport office regarding delays or issues
• Complying with all driving regulations and Working Time Directive requirements
• Completing all delivery paperwork accurately
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
• A valid UK Category C Licence
• Minimum one year experience driving Category C vehicles
• A valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No IN10, DR10 or DD10 endorsement codes
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent reliability and timekeeping
Desirable Experience
• More than one year Category C driving experience
• Previous curtain-side delivery experience
• Multi-drop delivery experience advantageous
Training Provided
• Ongoing support and guidance throughout your assignment
