1:1 Teaching Assistant
Daily pay: £90–£100

We’re working with a large, well-organised secondary school that puts inclusion and wellbeing at the heart of what it does. They’re looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil who needs consistent, calm guidance to access learning and feel confident in the classroom.
The role
1. Providing dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil during the school day
2. Helping the pupil stay engaged, regulated and ready to learn
3. Supporting learning activities under the direction of the class teacher
4. Encouraging independence, confidence and positive routines
5. Working closely with SEN, pastoral staff and teaching teams

This is a school with clear expectations, strong routines and a supportive culture. Staff communicate well, behaviour systems are consistent, and support staff are valued as part of the wider team, not an afterthought.

6. Experience supporting children or young people, ideally in a school or SEND setting
7. A calm, patient and nurturing approach
8. Confidence in building positive, professional relationships
9. Someone who understands that progress can be small, steady and incredibly meaningful

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
