Banana Moon Day Nursery in Croydon is seeking a dedicated and passionate Baby Room Leader / Early Years Professional to lead our baby room team and support the development of the youngest children in our care. In this role, you will provide a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for babies aged 0-24 months, ensuring their emotional, social, and physical development is nurtured.
As a Baby Room Leader / Early Years Professional, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality early education and care, leading your team with enthusiasm, and collaborating with parents to support each child’s individual needs.
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the baby room team to deliver exceptional care and early years education
* Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities tailored for infants
* Promote the well‑being and safety of all children in the baby room
* Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
* Support and mentor team members for continuous professional growth
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and nursery standards
Qualifications
* Early Years Professional status or equivalent Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Education
* Proven experience working with babies and leading a baby room or similar setting
* Comprehensive understanding of early childhood development and safeguarding
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practice
