Logistics and Routing Planner – Glotech Repairs

Our people take care of our valued customers, ranging from private consumers and letting agents to housing associations and insurance companies.
The role will be based at our Chippenham, Wiltshire branch, with working hours from 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday (flexible with the right candidate) with a half-hour unpaid lunch break.
What you'll get up to:
As a Logistics and Routing Planner, you'll play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly by ensuring our engineers' schedules are optimised and our customers are kept informed. You will:
* Plan, coordinate, and manage engineer diaries to maximise efficiency.
* Communicate with engineers to provide the best routes and job allocations.
* Call customers to arrange bookings that best fit within the diary.
* Liaise with garages to arrange MOTs, servicing, and repairs, ensuring they fit in around engineer schedules.
* Proactively monitor upcoming appointments to minimise downtime and delays.
* Balance customer needs with engineer workloads to keep everything running on time.
* Build and maintain positive working relationships with engineers, customers, and external partners.
* Update internal systems and client portals to ensure information is accurate and current.
* Adapt to changes quickly – no two days will be the same
What we look for in you:
We're looking for someone organised and proactive, with the confidence to take ownership of scheduling and planning. You should have:
* Excellent communication skills (both over the phone and in writing).
* Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
* Geographical knowledge.
* A forward-thinking, problem-solving approach.
* Customer service experience – you'll often be the main point of contact for customers and engineers.
* The ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
* Good computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems.
