SEMH Learning Support Mentors – PRU
Location: East Birmingham, UK. Start date: September.
We are recruiting Learning Support Mentors for an alternative provision school that provides quality support for children with challenging behaviour, Autism, ADHD, and social/emotional mental health needs.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside the class teacher and teaching assistants to support pupils in everyday school life.
* Support pupils with SEMH needs through individualized interventions.
* Deliver a varied, engaging curriculum and additional extracurricular activities.
* Maintain a positive, proactive approach and collaborate effectively with the teaching team.
Qualifications & Attributes
* Experience working in prisons or with young offenders (preferred).
* Previous experience as a Learning Support Mentor or in a similar role.
* Caring, resilient, innovative, adaptable, and confident in dynamic environments.
* Excellent team‑player skills.
