Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Assembly Technician, you will:
Assemble, test, and pack mechanical components and finished goods, ensuring they meet our high standards.
Work independently from drawings or build instructions to create exceptional products.
Oversee the assembly area, ensuring a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
Provide training and guidance to junior assembly technicians, sharing your expertise and best practices.
Conduct thorough inspections of parts and identify defects during the manufacturing process.
Collaborate with the team to identify potential areas for process improvement and communicate these opportunities effectively.
Set up and operate testing equipment, ensuring that sub-assemblies and finished products comply with specifications.
What You Bring:
To excel in this role, you should have:
A minimum of three year's experience as a mechanical assembly technician, ideally with supervisory experience.
A basic education including GCSE level C or above in Maths and English Language; a recognised apprenticeship or relevant BTEC is preferred.
Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to repair basic parts as necessary.
The capability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, test plans, and process documents.
A keen eye for detail, with the ability to maintain production timelines and report discrepancies as needed.
