The role
A leading UK insurance broker is seeking an accomplished Insurance professional to join as a Senior Account Executive to take ownership of a high‑value portfolio across the London market. This senior role combines strategic client leadership, complex placement work, and high‑level insurer engagement, with the autonomy to shape portfolio performance and drive growth. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of commercial real estate clients. Lead renewal strategy, preparation, and placement across UK and international property programmes. Produce high‑quality market submissions, risk presentations, and insurer negotiations. Handle day‑to‑day client servicing including MTAs, queries, documentation, and policy reviews. Conduct client meetings, risk discussions, and portfolio reviews with key decision‑makers. Maintain strong insurer relationships to secure competitive and compliant coverage. Identify cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities across wider commercial lines. Ensure all activity meets FCA, internal governance, and compliance standards. Provide technical guidance to junior colleagues when required. Required Experience & Skills Strong background in Commercial Real Estate insurance, within a broker environment. Experience working with large and complex property portfolios - for example, buildings spread across multiple locations or sites, or high value properties. Confident in insurer negotiation, market presentations, and renewal strategy. Excellent client‑facing skills with the ability to build long‑term relationships. Strong technical understanding of commercial lines products. High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Proficiency with Acturis or similar broking platforms. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture. Desirable Experience & Skills Experience with London Market placements.
