My clients in North Bucks have an immediaterequirement for a Customer Support Technician:Electronics.
This role is commutable from MiltonKeynes Newport Pagnell St. Neots Biggleswade SandyBedford.
My clients are a world leader in in thedesign manufacture and continuous improvement of wireless conditionmonitoring solutions. Their technology is used in 35 countries inrail construction and mining. More than 30000 sensors wereinstalled last year helping users manage ground and structuralmovement landslide risk geotechnical behaviour rail track movementand much more.
They are seeking the rightindividual to join their Customer Support team. This is a full timehybrid role working from the office 3 days a week and workingremotely from home for the remaining 2days.
Tasks
Main Duties& Responsibilities:
As a Customer SupportTechnician you will take a handson role in providing support forcustomers ahead of during and after the installation of newprojects replacements and changes. The role also involves trainingcustomers and preparing equipment for dispatch for new projects andreplacements.
Reporting Location &Travel:
This role reports to the Team Lead and GlobalCustomer Support Manager. A hybrid role split with 3 days in theoffice and 2 days working remotely with an occasional requirementfor national and international travel primarily to meet customersand support product deployment.
KeyResponsibilities:
Responsibilities include although arenot limited to the following:
Clarifying customertechnical requirements ahead of new project installations andbriefing the production team.
Supporting customers duringproject installation.
Setting up monitoring diagramsusers alerts and calculations.
Attending site whenrequired to support customer installations or investigate reportedfaults.
Assisting customers with technical queries andfault reports by phone email and through a helpdesk ticketsystem.
Managing the return and replacement of faultyequipment.
Assisting with fault diagnosis andcontributing to fault reduction.
Providing training tocustomers mostly using teleconferencing sometimes on site or in thecompany facility.
Configuring equipment to customerspecifications fitting mounting brackets and ancillary equipmentpacking for dispatch.
Receiving returned equipment anddiagnosing faults.
Carrying out minor repairs andrefurbishment of equipment.
Other duties asassigned.
Requirements
RelevantKnowledge & Experience:
Candidates should assesstheir suitability against the following essential and/or desirablerelevant knowledge andexperience:
Essential:
Demonstrableexperience of customer service in an engineering or technicalenvironment.
Excellent customer relationsskills.
Fluent in English.
Languages:spoken/written Spanish and/orGerman.
Desirable:
Good ability withExcel and other Office apps.
Understanding of IPNetworking.
Experience of working withinmonitoring.
Site experience in Rail and/or Constructionis preferred.
Other spoken/written languages such asFrench orItalian.
