University of Sheffield – Events Specialist

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organized and collaborative events specialist who will play a key role in raising the profile of the University of Sheffield and influencing the decisions of prospective students. This is an exciting role where the post‑holder will work with colleagues to plan a wide range of in‑person and online events, and deliver an inspiring visitor experience.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver a wide range of in‑person and online events, including open days, webinars, sessions for schools and colleges, and external fairs and exhibitions.
* Play a key role in delivering open days, welcoming thousands of visitors to the campus each year.
* Support the university’s student recruitment strategy by acting as the key link between academic schools and the central student recruitment service.
* Develop close, productive working relationships with academic staff in the subject area and with the student recruitment, marketing and events team.
Qualifications
* Strong communication skills.
* Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating successful events.
* Passion for customer service.
