Commercial Finance Manager - Join our growing team

We are a rapidly growing and innovative company based in Bradford, seeking a talented and dedicated Commercial finance manager to join our senior management team. This is a pivotal role that will see you take ownership of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Managing director with support from the fractional CFO the Commercial finance manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance function, playing a critical role in our continued success. This is the first full time finance role in the team so a chance to shape and grow the team with the business plans.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
* Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
* Management of Xero
* Design and implement the finance data reporting from scratch.
* Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.
* Working to ensure robust management information data
* Researching technical accounting issues for compliance.
* Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
* Managing and overseeing the annual audit process.
* Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
* Ensuring compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations.
* Collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
* Growing your own finance team.
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience as a commercial or finance or in a similar senior finance role, ideally within a fast-paced commercial environment.
* Ideally experience or a love for data using dashboard products like Microsoft BI
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and a thorough understanding of financial reporting standards
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
* Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
* A proactive and results-oriented approach.
