Lecturer in Horticulture, Land and Plant Sciences

Salary: Dependent on Experience
Contract: Until 20th June 2026
Hours: Full‑time, 37 hours per week

You will deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of programmes, ensuring students gain the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging theory and practical sessions
* Plan and deliver lessons aligned to the awarding body requirements
* Assess work and provide supportive, constructive feedback
* Support learner progress, welfare and employability
* Maintain accurate attendance, assessment and learner records
* Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
* Uphold safeguarding, equality and health & safety standards
* Take part in open days, enrichment and industry engagement activities
Requirements
* Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant land‑based subject
* Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards)
* Industry experience within horticulture or land‑based sectors
* Ability to deliver both practical and classroom‑based teaching
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to inclusive learning and safeguarding
* A current and valid ENHANCED DBS is required.
