The Role Our client is seeking a qualified Lecturer to deliver the BSc (Hons) Counselling program in partnership with Bath Spa University (BSU). This role involves teaching across various undergraduate levels and requires flexibility for weekday, evening, and weekend delivery to accommodate our diverse student body. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning: Design and deliver engaging sessions, utilizing modern educational technologies to enhance student outcomes. Assessment: Design assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback ensuring all learning outcomes are met. Curriculum Development: Update and continuously improve module materials, serving as a Module Leader when required. Quality Metrics: Monitor and meet objectives for student attendance, progression, and satisfaction (aligned with B3 regulatory thresholds). Professional Engagement: Participate in outreach, open days, and partner visits, maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders. Essential Requirements Academic: Doctoral level qualification in Counselling (or a significant research track record/professional equivalent). Professional Membership: Active membership in an appropriate professional body with a formal complaints procedure. Ethics: Full familiarity with the current BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. Experience: Previous experience teaching in UK Higher Education and a passion for working in widening access (non-traditional) environments. Technical: Strong IT proficiency (MS Office) and experience in remote and face-to-face student supervision. Eligibility: Must possess the existing legal right to work in the UK. (Visa sponsorship is not available). Desirable Qualifications Current BACP counsellor/psychotherapist accreditation. In active, supervised clinical practice as a counsellor.
