Offer description

Are you ready to bring your surveying expertise to a role where quality truly matters?

As a Quality Control and Assurance Officer at Freebridge Community Housing, you’ll be at the forefront on delivering a comprehensive range of professional surveying services, with a strong emphasis on internal quality assurance. We now have over 7500 properties across west and north Norfolk, in addition to building new homes for social and affordable rent, and to support those who want to move into shared home ownership. We’ve had numerous achievements, including delivering our tenants' promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living. At Freebridge, we live by our values: Belong, Own It, Think Customer, One Team One Purpose, and Be the Change.

• Quality Culture Development: Drive the development of a quality assurance culture and framework, regularly reviewing service performance to support continuous improvement and value for money.
• Performance Management: Ensure key performance targets are set, monitored, and achieved, supporting the delivery of a responsive and effective service.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure health and safety legislation is embedded and monitored within daily operations, promoting a culture of safety across both internal teams and contractors.
• Customer-Focused Resolution: Resolve complaints and dissatisfaction cases confidently and effectively, ensuring challenging issues are addressed with satisfactory outcomes.

What we’re looking for:

• A driven individual with a passion for inspection and audits
• Proven experience in building surveying, responsive housing repairs, and maintenance of domestic properties, with strong customer service focus.
• Expertise in legal disrepair, contract management, and financial/project oversight within a housing or property context.
• Strong working knowledge of building regulations, building pathology, health and safety legislation (including HHSRS), CDM, and landlord/tenant law.
• Skilled in interpreting and applying building contracts, procurement methods, and relevant housing legislation.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage data, KPIs, and performance reporting.
• Effective leadership, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
