Job description Aim of the role: Working within Redcentric's AWS Cloud Services Group, this role will join a team of forward-thinking and experienced engineers focussed on ensuring the delivery, operation, security and evolution of our customer AWS platforms. As part of Redcentric's cloud delivery department, this role will join a team of forward-thinking and experienced engineers focussed on migrating customer platforms to AWS as well as supporting their daily ongoing operations and evolution. The role will involve implementation support and working closely with customer-facing teams to continually evolve our services. Key responsibilities: Duties will include, but are not restricted to the following: Work as part of a team to ensure ongoing platform delivery, operation, security, reliability, efficiency and governance. Work as part of a small team to understand, manage, migrate and evolve customer solutions in AWS. Responsible for delivery and support of production and non-production systems within the AWS ecosystem. Working in, or supporting, implementation teams on AWS migration projects and managed service onboarding. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to system reliability and performance. Provide support for our customer infrastructure to ensure service continuity and stability. Working in, or supporting, implementation teams on AWS migration projects and managed service onboarding. Person specification The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Hands-on experience of a range of AWS services across all production and non-production environments - primarily the compute, networking, storage, database, serverless, costing, security and IAM, and management tools service groups. Solid understanding of modern industry practices and how they translate into architectures and working practices. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally. Ability to understand, communicate and present effectively in business and technical contexts at all levels. Capable and confident with complexity and the unfamiliar. A passion for technology, constantly looking for innovative ways to improve Redcentric's offerings and for teaching and influencing others. Strives for the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction, whilst focussing on results and outcomes. Proven experience of following designs for the deployment of enterprise solutions on AWS. High competency in IAC (Terraform/CloudFormation). Competency in Scripting (Python/Bash). Source control. Experience supporting both Windows & Linux operating systems an advantage.
