2025 sees MoneyGram Haas F1 Team celebrate its tenth season in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. We’re a racing team that challenges the status quo and seeks talented people to join us. We are the first American Formula 1 team to compete since 1986, with a history of growth and a clear direction facing future objectives.

Position Summary
This position reports to the Head of Strategy or their designee and is located in Banbury, UK. The core responsibility is to provide strategic support for trackside events including FIA Formula 1 championship races and some test events.
Responsibilities
* Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between personnel and departments.
* Perform race strategy for at least one car from the pit wall trackside, or from the race support room.
* Provide direction and coach team members to maximise team performance.
* Support events, including all FIA Formula 1 Championship races, from trackside or the Factory Race Support Room.
* Pre-event simulations and reports, in-event support and post-race analysis.
* Work with Race Engineers and tyre department to define pre-event tyre usage plan.
* Conduct competitor analysis during a race weekend and between events.
* Use pre-race simulations to define fuel loads and fuel usage plan.
* Improve existing tools and help develop the direction of the strategy group.
* Numerical and statistical analysis of data.
* Development of existing tools used in strategy operations and procedures.
* Research and implement new analysis, methodologies, software tools and techniques for future developments.
* Assist Pit Stop Working Group to define projects and priorities.
* Assist with pitstop analysis (competitor and team) and provide feedback to the pit crew.
* Assist running the Race Strategy systems, ensuring they are set up and troubleshooting issues as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Follow and contribute towards the strategy and organizational direction of the team, and define future needs of the business with solutions.
* Train junior members to maximise team performance.
* Assist with the implementation of new policies and procedures while ensuring existing ones are followed.
* Enforce health & safety guidelines at all venues.
* Assume responsibilities delegated by the Head of Strategy or their designee.
Education and Work Experience
* A Masters or PhD in a STEM discipline.
* Experience in data analysis, numerical and statistical methodologies and their applications.
* Strong problem-solving, logical thinking with research and reporting skills.
* At least 4 years’ experience in a Formula 1 motorsport environment, including significant strategy experience.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal abilities and relationship-building.
* Excellent planning, strategic and organizational skills.
* Ability to oversee both big-picture and minute details in a time-stressed environment.
* Team-oriented with a high standard and positive work attitude.
* Quick, analytical decision-making in stressful situations.

* Knowledge of methods in relevant department disciplines and practices.
Equipment and Applications
* Python, VBA and MATLAB programming; C# programming.
* Experience with databases and data management.
* Other programming languages for live/interactive tools.
* Experience in data analysis, preferably using ATLAS.
* Technical experience of Formula 1 Race Strategy.
* Strong understanding of vehicle and tyre performance.
Work Environment
An ability to work under high pressure and time-sensitive conditions, with extensive domestic and international travel and long/flexible hours, including weekends.
Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting and manual dexterity; work involves machinery, race cars, 7-post rigs, debris and fluids. All employees must comply with the Company Health and Safety Policy and applicable laws.
