Overview
The RDSO service supports the Brunel Research Community to identify and secure external funding from UK and international funders, manage and oversee contractual and compliance aspects of research and innovation projects, facilitate research collaborations with external partners, and manage the commercialisation of our research to deliver societal impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate growth in the University’s engagement with industrial and collaborative R&D sources, especially grants from Innovate UK.
* Work alongside leading academics and non-academic partners at the cutting edge of their fields, promoting funding opportunities.
* Contribute directly to the preparation of proposals and deliver targeted initiatives to improve participation and success rates.
* Play a major role in driving new initiatives to support the University’s ambitious research strategy.
Qualifications
* A first degree and work experience within a Higher Education and/or research environment.
* Detailed knowledge of collaborative R&D funding schemes.
* Demonstrable experience of drafting and reviewing grant proposals alongside academic and industrial partners.
