About your team:
At British Gas, our mission is to sell and mend energy. We’ve powered UK homes and businesses for over 200 years. But supplying energy is just part of what we do. We’re making the UK greener and more energy-efficient, moving closer to Net Zero. Using tech like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels, and EV chargers, we help customers reduce their carbon footprint more affordably and easily.
About your role:
We need Service & Repair engineers to join our team of experienced Gas Engineers. You will ensure our customers receive help when needed, playing a key role in British Gas's Service Promise of same-day fixes.
Base salary is £43,733 plus up to £6,000 London weighting allowance (dependent on area), with uncapped OTE — a realistic £60,000 including LWA through our field reward scheme.
Representing British Gas in customers’ homes, you’ll attend service visits or complex breakdowns. Support from managers, mentors, and colleagues is available, but experience across various boilers and heating systems is essential due to job challenges.
Here's what we’re looking for:
* Focus on outstanding customer experience on every visit
* Current ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 & HTR1) NVQ, C&G, or equivalent in plumbing or heating
* At least 3 years’ qualified experience in fault finding and diagnosis
* Electrical knowledge, including wiring and fault finding on S-plan, Y-plan, and combination systems and boilers
