IMMEDIATE START – HGV CLASS 2 MULTI-DROP DRIVER – THURROCK
Salary: £17.00 – £19.05 per hour
Saturday Rate: £25.50 per hour
Permanent Salary: £43,000 per annum + Annual Bonus up to £3,000
Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 48 hours per week
Start Time: From 4:30am onwards
Zoom Recruitment is partnering with a well-known and respected national brand based in Thurrock, currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Dray Drivers. This is a fantastic temp-to-permanent opportunity for reliable and physically fit drivers seeking long-term employment with a company that values its delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Safely operate Class 2 (up to 26 tonnes) HGV vehicles
*
Carry out multi-drop deliveries of alcohol products to pubs, bars, restaurants, and other hospitality venues
*
Assist the Drivers Mate and warehouse team with manual handling, loading and unloading of goods
*
Deliver excellent customer service, acting as a professional representative of the brand
*
Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams
*
Adhere to all health & safety and road safety regulations
*
Use knowledge of local routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries
Requirements:
*
Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence with no more than 6 penalty points
*
CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
*
Good understanding of driving legislation and Working Time Directive
*
Previous multi-drop experience and confidence with manual handling
*
A strong level of physical fitness – this is a hands-on role involving heavy lifting
*
Excellent communication and customer service skills
*
Knowledge of the local area is a plus
