We are recruiting for a Head of Litigation / Senior Litigation Solicitor to join a highly regarded North Yorkshire firm with a long-standing regional reputation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Litigator to step into a leadership role within a supportive and well-established Dispute Resolution team, whilst remaining heavily involved in quality fee-earning work.
This is a predominantly fee-earning position with some HoD responsibilities, overseeing a compact team of 2 Fee Earners and 3 Assistants across two offices.
Typical duties would include:
* Managing a varied litigation caseload including civil and commercial disputes.
* Supervising and supporting junior fee earners and assistants within the team.
* Assisting with departmental workflow and performance.
* Maintaining high levels of client care and compliance.
* Supporting with departmental development where required.
* Working towards an individual billing target.
* Occasional travel between the firm’s offices.
The successful candidate:
* Has 5+ years PQE handling a broad litigation caseload.
* Is confident managing files independently from instruction to conclusion.
* Has experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
* Demonstrates excellent client care and communication skills.
* Possesses strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
* Is looking to take a step into a leadership role whilst maintaining fee-earning responsibilities.
