The Role
As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will participate in a 12-month development program designed to give you comprehensive operational, service, and leadership experience, preparing you to become a future Store Manager. You will follow a structured career pathway training program with support from your Store Manager to set you up for success.
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic Wine, our Customers are central to everything we do. You will act as an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.
* Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and optimizing KPI performance.
* Deliver exceptional customer service to foster business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases.
* Provide a VIP concierge service by actively engaging with customers, updating them on products and tastings.
* Share your passion for products through in-depth knowledge, managing tasting events, and executing an appealing tasting counter.
* Continuously improve your wine knowledge to support your WSET qualifications and sales confidence.
* Ensure the store's appearance and maintenance meet high standards internally and externally.
* Participate in operational tasks such as stock deliveries, merchandising, and customer outreach to drive sales.
* Identify opportunities for operational improvements.
* Maintain full compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements through mandatory training.
* Take ownership of your development, utilizing available resources and support.
* Lead by example, embodying Majestic’s Ways of Working, and support junior team members.
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
* Exceptional customer service skills.
* Ability to prioritize and solve problems strategically under pressure.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Positive attitude and resilience.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* Passion for wine and willingness to learn, aiming to pass WSET levels 2 & 3.
* Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
