A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in the Greenford area is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. About the Role
You will be working closely with teachers to support pupils with Special Educational Needs, providing a mix of 1:1 support and leading small-group interventions. The role is ideal for someone patient, nurturing, and passionate about helping children thrive in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, helping them access learning activities and remain engaged
* Lead and assist with small‑group intervention work
* Support classroom routines and help maintain a positive learning environment
* Work alongside teaching staff and SEN staff to implement personalised learning plans
* Encourage social, emotional, and academic development in line with school expectations
Requirements
* Valid Enhanced DBS on the updated service (or willing to apply)
* Right to work in the UK
* Experience working with children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, learning difficulties, etc.)
* Ability to build positive relationships and provide consistent, calm support
* Reliable, professional, and committed to long‑term work
