Role Overview
The Duty Manager reports to the Store Manager and is responsible for driving growth, ensuring outstanding customer experience, sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Store Manager to ensure a safe, legal and high performing store.
* Assume overall responsibility for store operations, objectives and KPIs during duty shifts.
* Manage, coach and support a team of colleagues, fostering a motivated and empowered workforce.
* Carry out performance management and absence management as appropriate.
* Oversee opening/closing procedures, colleague safety, stock and cash security during shifts.
* Perform cash reconciliations, voids, refunds and other till management tasks.
* Lead the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience that sets us apart from competitors.
* Collaborate with colleagues to promote the store and engage the local Monkmoor community.
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures and processes.
Skills Required
* Previous management or supervisory experience in food retail or a similar fast‑paced operation.
* Commitment to delivering and sustaining exceptional customer service standards.
* Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
* Excellent communication and influence across all levels.
* Sound decision‑making and problem‑solving ability.
* Proactive promotion of collaborative working.
