Monnington Equestrian is a livery yard with about 23 horse, complete mix of ages, breeds, and disciplines they are ridden in. Full or part and retirement livery. They have had 3 previous KEITS apprentices so are very experienced in providing apprenticeship training. Yard Duties will include: Turning out and bringing in Mucking out Feeding, watering, and haying Grooming Clipping and trimming Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard at all times Tacking up This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, hardworking team in this riding school, livery and successful show yard. Desired skills and qualities Applicant must be confident in handling a variety of horses and should show this in their application Good communication skills Good customer service skills Reliable Honest Hardworking Desired qualifications Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent are desirable but not essential. Applicants must hold a level 2 or higher in Equine. Ideally can drive or have the means to get here with hours and our rural location in mind. Training Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment. The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship. The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship. The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship. Future prospects There is a possibility of employment after the apprenticeship for the right candidate Things to consider There is no accommodation on site. Applicants should ideally have a driving licence or reliable access to transport as the business is in a rural location with no public transport.
