Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, Pixel Toys have spent over a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile and VR gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including: Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War; and we're now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we've done previously
As a forward thinking and innovative studio we are always looking for new technologies and techniques to develop and use in our games and make them even more engaging experiences for our customers.
We are excited to continue to grow our team and are always on the lookout for highly talented and motivated individuals, who are passionate about gaming and excited to join us on our ambitious journey
The Role:
Join Pixel Toys as a Build Engineer within our DevOps team, you take center stage at a critical moment in our studio's growth, driving the rapid development and modernisation of our infrastructure.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the CI/CD pipelines that power our Unity mobile game, ensuring every build is efficient, fault-tolerant, and reliable. Working across both cloud and on-premises environments, you will collaborate with IT to ensure our systems are as scalable and secure as they are fast. You will move beyond simple maintenance, actively identifying bottlenecks and implementing clever automation that streamlines our workflows and enhances the entire development lifecycle.
Become a vital bridge between our development, QA, and Release Teams, managing complex platform-specific configurations for iOS and Android while integrating automated testing directly into the pipeline.
Your day-to-day will involve monitoring dashboards and troubleshooting build issues in real-time, providing the technical guidance and support necessary to keep our projects moving at pace. By documenting processes and staying ahead of industry trends, you will continuously propose and implement enhancements that sharpen our delivery.
Ultimately, you will be the guardian of our deployment stability, communicating effectively with stakeholders to ensure every milestone is met with a high-quality, performant build.
About you:
You will join Pixel Toys as a motivated and skilled engineer with a deep understanding of the CI/CD principles that underpin successful game delivery. Whether you come from a background in mobile games or a related high-stakes industry, you will possess a solid grasp of Unity C# development workflows and the specific build requirements of iOS and Android platforms.
Your technical toolkit is diverse, featuring proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and hands-on experience with build systems such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or Codebuild. You are equally comfortable navigating version control systems like Git and Perforce as you are managing platform-specific tools like Xcode and Gradle.
Beyond your technical mastery, you are a creative problem solver with sharp debugging skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges. You thrive in a collaborative environment, bringing exceptional communication skills and a positive, "can-do" attitude to every team interaction. You are a self-motivated team player who is deeply committed to the craft of DevOps and possesses a personal drive to deliver infrastructure at the highest possible standard. Your enthusiasm for streamlining complex processes and your passion for supporting your peers will make you a pivotal part of our mission to create world-class mobile entertainment
