Our 18‑month Graduate Programme
The Graduate Programmes give you the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects alongside subject matter experts. On joining, you will receive a starting salary of £34,000 per annum, plus a £1,000 welcome bonus. You’ll also be eligible for a £1,000 exit bonus upon successful completion of the programme. In addition, you may be eligible for a Temporary Accommodation Allowance (TAA), subject to specific criteria. We encourage you to spend at least three days each week on site to integrate with your team and maximise your learning experience.
As a Graduate Test Systems Engineer you will
You will be encouraged to gain experience of all aspects of the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, applied research and test. You will have the opportunity to become involved in Test System discipline e.g. RF, Microwave, Antenna, FPGA and high speed digital engineering. Throughout the development process, an understanding of the product domain becomes a key element of the learning process, and requires close liaison with engineers from other disciplines, such as Systems, Software and Mechanical. Opportunities may also arise to interface with customers and end users.
Key Responsibility Areas
* Learn the skills required for hardware development, including advanced design techniques for aerospace applications.
* Develop practical skills in key technologies, ECAD tools, and test equipment.
* Explore all aspects of the development lifecycle during the graduate development framework: requirements analysis and definition, hardware design, implementation, integration, test and lifecycle support.
* Receive most training via on‑the‑job experience working on real production hardware within project groups delivering test systems to our customers.
* Receive additional formal technical training through taught courses depending on business needs and your career direction.
What We Need From You
* Minimum of a 2:2 Bachelors/Integrated Master’s degree, or higher, such as an MSc or PhD.
* For this role acceptable degrees: Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electronic & Software Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or Physics.
Security Clearance
This role is subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, which could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
