The Corporate Investigator will protect the business and group assets from the threats and risks associated with serious internal and external crime including issues involving Fraud, Bribery and Corruption.
Developing intelligence streams and conducting detailed investigations in line with Employment and Criminal Law, bringing investigations to a timely conclusion.

This role follows a 5 day working week, based in the office 3 days a week.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Lead and direct departments on crime investigations and outcomes
* Contribute to improving colleague safety across all business areas by delivering relevant training packages and assisting in the management of internal and external site security officers at Hilmore
* Check store security processes are being adhered to
* Act as the conduit between the organisation and relevant Law Enforcement agencies in order to ensure we receive the necessary support and expertise when required during major incidents.
* Deliver agreed KPI standards and measures which demonstrate the business value of the work of the corporate protection function
* Identify and manage confidential investigations contrary to the Fraud and Bribery and Corruption Acts and internal policy and procedure
* Develop Police and external agency networks to ensure effective and efficient response to serious crime issues and crisis management.
* Investigate whistleblower / crime stoppers confidential reports
* Provide expert knowledge and guidance across the business at a senior level on all issues in relation to crime prevention and investigation
* Identify and investigate serious incidents and serious crime investigations across the group to minimise loss to the business
* Contribute to developing and executing plans to support internal policies.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:
* In depth knowledge of Criminal and Employment Law. Understanding of disciplinary process and the effect on criminal investigations
* Experience of investigation, including completing complex case files for both internal and criminal investigation
* Police level crime investigation (PIP 2 minimum) and interview techniques (Tier 2 minimum) or equivalent
* Experience of serious crime and crisis management
* Experience of operating with Law Enforcement Agencies at a senior level
* Proven track record of completing fraud, bribery & corruption investigations and financial recoveries.
* Experience of being involved in confidential investigations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to take complex information and represent in a simple format
* Ability to negotiate and influence key stakeholders.
