SEND Tutor
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEND Tutor to support secondary-aged pupils across Knowsley, Merseyside.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making learning accessible for young people who experience high levels of anxiety, ASD and disengagement from mainstream education.
About this SEND Tutor role:

Deliver 1:1 tuition in core subjects (English, Maths and Science)
*
Support pupils who are not currently accessing school or are on reduced timetables
*
Work flexible hours during and after the school day
*
Provide sessions in: Students’ homes, Local libraries, Community centres
*
Commit to 10–25 hours per week (flexible and negotiable)
The Ideal SEND Tutor will have:
*
Experience working with SEND pupils, particularly ASD and anxiety
*
Is able to adapt teaching styles to meet individual needs
*
Is patient, empathetic and confident managing emotionally based school avoidance
*
Can build trust with disengaged learners
*
Holds relevant teaching, tutoring or education experience (QTS not essential)
