Administrative Support Worker – Customer Services (Adult Social Care) – Permanent Full Time

Do you enjoy helping others and working collaboratively in a role that truly makes a difference? Join our Customer Services Team as an Administrative Support Worker supporting the delivery of Adult Social Care services.


What You’ll Do

* Verbally communicate written information clearly and accurately in a contact centre environment.
* Listen to calls and record key details such as names, dates of birth and addresses.
* Navigate database systems to retrieve and relay information as guided.
* Ensure accurate and timely communication with internal teams.
* Build a professional and respectful working relationship with the Advisor – and their guide dog.
* Support customers directly and help the team manage incoming queries when the Advisor is on leave.

* Excellent attention to detail and note‑taking ability.
* Confidence using digital systems and databases.
* A collaborative mindset and a commitment to inclusive service delivery.
* Care about delivering an excellent service to every internal and external customer.
* Excellent communication skills, confident in face‑to‑face, telephone and written activity.
* Ability to support a diverse customer base.
* Ability to deliver in a fast‑paced environment.
* Ability to respond to change positively.
* Flexibility to the needs of the service.
* Good IT skills.
* An understanding of the range of services provided by the council.

The closing date for applications is midnight on Wednesday 4th March 2026. Assessments will take place week commencing Monday 16th March 2026 and will consist of a competency‑based interview and a work‑based role play. This interview will assess English fluency in accordance with part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, as required by public‑sector customer‑facing roles.
