Technical Manager: Cranes and Lifting Equipment : A GBP 75,000 Basic Salary + Excellent Benefits

More about the role
* Maintenance of UKAS and other appropriate accreditations, licenses and approvals
* Completion of internal Technical Monitoring process in line with business plan including effective close out of audit findings
* Maintenance of Engineer Surveyor inspection licenses
* Maintenance of quality and technical documentation and records
* Provision of a technical support function providing appropriate and timely response to internal or external technical queries and complaints
Technical Manager Main Accountabilities:
* Experience of leading and managing a team (essential).
* Knowledge of and experience of working with regulations and standards relevant to the Cranes and lifting equipment discipline (essential).
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant sections of ISO 17020.
* Experience of and ability to work with relevant engineering software (preferred).
* Minimum 5 years operational experience within the engineering discipline.
* Operate within agreed authorities, inspection and H and S standards
* Clear customer focus and drive to achieve optimal service delivery
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Chartered Engineer
* Mechanical Engineering degree
* UK Driving licence
* Five years experience in the test, inspection and compliance is desirable
* Must have extensive knowledge of cranes, lifting equipment or plant industry
* Must be commutable to the North West of England
