* Thursday to Monday
* Summer (HWRS): 8:45am - 6:15pm
* Winter (HWRS): 8:45am - 4:15pm
Overview
As an Information Point Officer, you'll play a key role in keeping our recycling centre running smoothly while helping the public make greener choices. From advising visitors to ensuring waste is properly segregated, this is your chance to be a positive force for the environment.
Core Responsibilities
* Be the first point of contact, providing top‑notch customer service.
* Help visitors sort and recycle their waste effectively.
* Monitor and redirect commercial and non‑compliant waste.
* Operate booking systems for designated sites.
* Keep the site clean, safe, and running efficiently.
* Promote recycling by ensuring waste is segregated wherever possible.
* Help the community recycle more and waste less.
* Gain experience working in a dynamic, outdoor environment.
Requirements
* Excellent customer service skills with a helpful, friendly attitude.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong problem‑solving skills for handling challenging situations.
* Proactive approach to keeping records and maintaining the site.
