Your Role
and What You'll Be Doing
As a second-line Risk Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing and managing IT risks across the CIO function. You’ll be responsible for analysing trends, producing insightful reports, and ensuring risks are effectively mitigated. This includes managing KPIs, supporting internal and external audits, and maintaining accurate data within our IT Enterprise Catalogue.
You’ll also lead the monthly CIO Risk Committee, prepare reports for senior leadership and group-wide committees, and provide guidance and training to colleagues on risk management best practices.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Managing CIO risk processes aligned to Group Risk strategy and policy
2. Collaborating with Risk Champions and Heads of Department to assess and mitigate risks
3. Leading audit tracking and reporting, ensuring timely action planning
4. Analysing data to identify trends and measure performance against KPIs
5. Preparing and automating reports for CIO Leadership and Group committees
6. Ensuring resilience and disaster recovery information is accurately maintained
About You
Essential Skills & Experience:
7. Strong risk identification and analytical skills
8. Understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery
9. Experience in project management and problem-solving
10. Prior experience in a technology or IT environment
11. Excellent communication and influencing skills
12. Confidence in leading meetings and presenting to senior stakeholders
Desirable:
13. Knowledge of audit management and financial acumen
14. Experience with risk management frameworks and tooling
15. Background in legal or financial services sectors
