A global manufacturer based in the West Midlands is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site position where you'll be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems that support their production processes.
Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer will include:
Designing and developing sheet metal components for manufacturing applications.
Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support production workflows.
Producing detailed CAD models and technical drawings (CREO preferred, but open to other CAD software).
Collaborating with production and quality teams to ensure designs meet performance and compliance standards.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.Requirements for the Mechanical Design Engineer:
Proven experience working with sheet metal in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of BOM creation and management.
Proficiency in CAD software (CREO experience advantageous, but not essential).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work on-site full-time in the West Midlands.
Background in HVAC, refrigeration, or chiller systems would be beneficial but not essential.There is a competitive package on offer for the Mechanical Design Engineer which includes:
