We are recruiting a Brick Cutting Operative to join our friendly team at the Linford Block Plant, located close to Stanford‑le‑Hope in Essex. This role will operate on a 24/4 shift pattern (Mon to Thu).
The site is accessible from Tilbury, Gravesend, Rochester, Gillingham, Dartford, Purfleet on Thames, Grays, Wickford, Southend‑on‑Sea, Basildon, Brentwood, Billericay and surrounding areas.
Our Linford Plant manufactures sustainable, tough and energy efficient aerated blocks used in homes and workplaces. We strive to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities
* Meeting daily production target requirements
* Reporting data for quality purposes
* Moving, loading and unloading product from the plant and vehicles
* Meeting customer service requirements in terms of accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround
* Continuous improvement of performance standards
* Continuous improvement towards plant and production methods
* Good housekeeping
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within an industrial or similar environment as a Fork Lift Truck Operative, Multi-Skilled Operative or Labourer. However, the experience of working in a team, good communication skills and a willingness to learn are more important as full training can be provided.
