This is an exciting opportunity tojoin a very dynamic team. Complex Wound clinic is seeking for 3 Health CareAssistant (Band 3) to join their amazing team. We are looking for anenthusiastic, passionate, flexible candidate to join our dedicated team ofnurses to provide high quality nursing care to patients within our clinics.
The successful candidate willsupport and work autonomously in the Complex Wound clinics across the NorthWest Surrey, providing holistic assessments within scope of practice, escalateconcerns to Complex Wound Nurse, support in maintaining own and others health,safety and security and contribute with ideas to improve service. This post is based in Weybridge and Chertsey.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate needs tobe a good communicator, enthusiastic and innovative. It will be required toperform a variety of health care assistant activities in the community settingand will work without direct supervision but under the direction of a Complex WoundNurse. This candidate will ensure that all relevant policy, protocols,guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures are followed. The candidate will have health care assistant skills and knowledge in wound care including in Doppler assessments and compression therapy (training will be given)and to beable to work methodically and independently whilst being a good team player.

Purpose
To support the nursing team with the provision of high-quality wound management, leg ulcer management and prevention, ensuring all care is holistic and patient focused. To provide clinical support as required to help ensure the efficient and effective running of the clinical area. To utilise excellent communication skills which promotes the reputation of the Complex Wound Clinics. Has a flexible approach, enabling the smooth running of the Complex Wound Clinics across all localities according to need.
Principal duties to include:
Clinical
Undertakes holistic patient assessment within scope of practice, adapting care plans within prescribed parameters
Escalate any concerns to Registered Nurse Team
Establish and maintain good communication with patients, relatives and carers
Work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team in the provision of holistic patient care

Clinical supervision

All Clinicians are expected to undertake clinical supervision in line with CSH Surrey policy
Registered Health Professional
All co-owners who are members of a professional body must comply with standards of professional practice/conduct. It is the post holders responsibility to ensure they are both familiar with and adhere to these requirements and maintain their professional membership to the relevant body.
