Senior Geotechnical Engineer
We are working with a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer as part of their continued growth.
Our client operates nationally, delivering high-quality engineering solutions across residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and a collaborative approach, they are looking to strengthen their geotechnical capability with an experienced hire.
The Role
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering geotechnical services across a varied project portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing ground investigation programmes (Phase 1 and Phase 2)
Producing and reviewing geotechnical interpretative reports
Undertaking foundation design, slope stability analysis and earthworks assessments
Providing geotechnical input into multidisciplinary project teams
Managing projects, budgets and client relationships
Mentoring junior staff and supporting team development
Supporting business development and contributing to new work opportunities
About You
To be considered, you should have:
A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline
Proven experience within a consultancy environment
Strong knowledge of UK ground investigation standards and practices
Experience in geotechnical design and reporting
Chartered status, or working towards chartership (ICE or Geological Society)
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships
A proactive and commercially aware approach
