Examinations Officer – Maternity Cover
1. Location: Selby College
2. Hours: 37 hours per week
3. Salary: £26,967 - £28,609 per annum
This role is expected to start in February 2026, for approximately 12 months

As an Examinations Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of examinations and achievement processes across a range of qualifications and awarding bodies. You’ll be part of a team at the heart of the student journey, working closely with staff and students across the college.
In this role, you will:
4. Process examinations, awarding body registrations, and achievement claims.
5. Provide clear, helpful advice to staff and students on exam procedures, sessions, and results.
6. Ensure learners receive the right information in line with awarding body requirements.
7. Maintain accurate student and exam data using ProSolution.
8. Work collaboratively across the Exams team and curriculum areas to ensure outstanding service.
9. Meet awarding body deadlines for registrations, entries and withdrawals.
10. Help schedule and organise examinations in line with regulations.
We’re looking for someone who has:
11. GCSEs (A*–C / 9–4) in English and Maths
12. A Level 3 qualification
13. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence in following procedures
14. Good IT skills and experience working in a busy office environment
(Experience within a college setting, familiarity with exam board processes, or knowledge of MIS systems such as ProSolution would be beneficial but not essential.)
