Wood is currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Process Engineers, Environmental Consultants, and Study Managers to join our growing Carbon Advisory Consulting Team across the UK.
The Carbon Advisory Team operates across multiple sectors. Successful candidates will support clients in reducing their carbon impact. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with an engineering or environmental background who are eager to expand their careers in a fast-paced consulting environment. The Role
Due to significant growth plans, we aim to strengthen our Carbon Advisory (CA) team with experienced professionals driven by solving complex technical challenges related to decarbonisation and climate change.
Our CA team are industry leaders in decarbonisation assessments across energy and materials sectors, including:
* Emissions baselining and lifecycle carbon assessment
* Decarbonisation opportunity assessments and road-mapping
* Policy guidance and consulting
* Climate risk and opportunity screening
We seek individuals passionate about transforming the world through technical advice in these areas. Our consultants come from varied backgrounds, typically in engineering focusing on decarbonisation or environmental/sustainable fields.
Roles available include; Carbon Advisory Team Lead, Subject Matter Expert Consultants, and Principal/Senior Carbon Advisory Consultants.
In any role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of experts, consultants, and engineers to deliver top-tier solutions ensuring high customer satisfaction, career growth, and contribution to global decarbonisation efforts.

Expected:
* Masters in Process/Chemical Engineering, Environmental or Sustainable Development
* Understanding of carbon emissions quantification, decarbonisation techniques, circular economy, energy transition
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Experience in report writing and presentations
* Good organizational and project management skills
* Leadership in multidisciplinary teams
* Proficiency in energy and carbon efficiency practices
* Knowledge of climate policies and economic frameworks
* Experience in decarbonisation studies and lifecycle assessments
* Ability to map energy/fuel use and emissions for clients
* Experience in identifying emissions reduction opportunities
* Chartered status or working towards it
