We serve a range of patients across our three divisions of Primary Care (general practice), Pharmacy and Clinical Services which includes anticoagulation monitoring, patient medication reviews and childhood immunisation programmes.
We also provide management and clinical support to other GP practices and NHS bodies. We are a well‑established organisation having provided NHS services since 1999. Our team is made up of GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), Nurses, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and local administration teams supported by a centralised back‑office function, providing finance, HR, administration, and data analysis support.
We operate NHS services across the Northeast, Northwest and Yorkshire.
IntraHealth are currently recruiting for a Lead Salaried General Medical Practitioner to help deliver our vision of high‑quality medical services at our well‑established, progressive friendly practice.
We are progressive and dynamic, embracing new technology and ways of working ranging from daily telephone triage to video and e‑consultations.
We are looking for an experienced forward‑thinking, proactive GP to join our team at Wingate Surgery, County Durham. Our practice serves around 3,500 patients, with a range of chronic and acute problems – no one day is the same! Our patients are friendly, down to earth, and appreciate their local surgery, and the staff who work in them, as can be seen by the high achievement score received through the National survey.
You will take a leading role in improving patients' outcomes especially in areas such as diabetes and contribute towards redesigning services locally by representing the practice at PCN and ICB level.
You will be a team player who is keen to support and contribute to our program of continuous improvements and clinical/MDT meetings and work with us to ensure we maintain our high QOF results.
We have 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 1 Practice Nurse, HCA, Clinical Pharmacist, Social Prescribing Link Worker and a range of other healthcare professionals. We host various trainees (Pre‑Reg Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians) and have access to a number of other services via our PCN ARRS roles.
We are keen to recruit a GP who is willing to train to become a GP trainer as well as see our patients.
We are supported by a fantastic administration team led by our Practice Manager, which has a mix of youth and experience. No GP can do their job without a great team behind them, and luckily at Wingate Surgery, we believe we have that.
