Duties and responsibilities
1. Directs and oversees accounting operations for Livingston and Stafford sites, leading and managing the Local Finance Team.
2. Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
3. Conducts variance analysis and report on financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
4. Oversees the preparation of financial statements and filings in compliance with UK and US GAAP, supporting the audit process and liaising with external auditors.
5. Conducts ad hoc financial analyses and prepares reports to facilitate decision making.
6. Develops, implements, monitors, and tests internal controls in compliance with both local requirements and Sarbanes Oxley.
7. Assists in quarterly and annual budgeting and manages cash and working capital.
8. Works cross functionally and with other Allegion business units to identify and achieve operational improvements and build and assess business cases as necessary.
9. Mentors, guides, influences, and persuades others internally and externally.
10. Manages a team of various levels and is accountable for the performance and results of a team.
11. Integrates industry best practices in own area to achieve objectives.
12. Other duties as they arise.
Qualifications
13. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent field
14. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc)
Key competencies
15. Experience in multinational companies
16. Experience with Sage software
17. Experience or familiarity with Hyperion and Microsoft AX desirable
·Good communication and influencing skills
18. Strong analytical and data gathering skills
19. Proficiency in financial modeling techniques
20. Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
21. Solid track record of ensuring compliance of legal & corporate requirements
22. Good organization and time management skills
23. Commercial acumen with a strong understanding of business operations and market dynamics
24. Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
25. Self-motivated, able to work without supervision in a matrixed structure
26. High attention to detail and accuracy
