Solar Installation Contracts Manager Kenect Recruitment is working with a well-established and growing organisation within the renewable energy sector to recruit an experienced Operations Manager Solar Installations. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all installation activities, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with client specifications and commercial targets. Offering 45K - 55K base with bonus and company van. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Coordination Liaise with Estimating and Design teams to ensure projects are fully prepared prior to commencement Review and validate system designs to ensure compliance with specifications and client requirements Conduct site surveys to confirm design accuracy, Bill of Materials (BoM), and installation methodology Plan and coordinate installation schedules across multiple projects Operations & Delivery Organise and manage installation teams and associated logistics Coordinate with site representatives to programme works effectively Ensure all installations are delivered on time and within budget Monitor project progress and address any operational challenges Health, Safety & Compliance Develop and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) Ensure all site activities comply with current Health & Safety regulations Work alongside SHEQ teams to support and improve HSE policies and procedures Technical Support & Continuous Improvement Provide technical input to support design finalisation, troubleshooting, and remedial works Manage and resolve on-site issues efficiently Provide feedback to Sales and Estimating teams to improve processes, cost control, and delivery efficiency Produce monthly operational performance reports Candidate Requirements Essential Proven experience in operations, project, or installation management within solar, renewables, or M&E sectors Strong understanding of installation processes and site coordination Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (CAD) Experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously Strong organisational and communication skills Solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations within construction or renewables Desirable Background in solar PV installations Knowledge of RAMS preparation Basic CAD knowledge Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH) Key Attributes Strong leadership and team coordination skills Commercial awareness and cost control focus Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach High attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Performance Measures Project delivery (time, cost, quality) Health & Safety compliance Accuracy and attention to detail Team performance and collaboration Client and stakeholder satisfaction Contribution to process improvement and cost efficiencies
