Overview
We're looking for an experienced and detail-focused Bookkeeper to join a growing team in Solihull. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and is confident managing day-to-day financial operations. The role begins on a 6-month temporary basis, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent.

Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
* Manage purchase and sales ledgers
* Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and cash postings
* Process supplier invoices and handle payment runs
* Prepare VAT returns
* Assist with month-end duties including journals, prepayments, and accruals
* Produce management reports as required
* Liaise with external accountants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
* Support ad-hoc finance tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience in a dedicated bookkeeping or accounts assistant role
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
* Competent using accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
* Confident communicator who can build strong working relationships
* AAT qualification (desired but not essential)
