About Us

The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’slargest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of theCity’s important assets and services while delivering amulti-million-dollar portfolio of projects.

This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of theCity’s sustainability program, as well as contributingheavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy,liveable neighbourhoods and thriving communities.

About the Position

Team Stirling is seeking an experienced and safety consciousConservation Field Technician for a 6 month contract, to join ourParks and Sustainability Business Unit. In this role you willcontribute to providing attractive, safe and well-maintained parks,public spaces and environment for passive and active recreationthat enables quality urban life while protecting and conserving thenatural environment.

The successful candidate will undertake driver and generallabouring duties associated with development and maintenance worksin natural areas conservation. This role also undertakes someadministrative duties including plant start-up and shut down checksand reporting of plant defects.

About You

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired,but if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be aperfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will beconsidered.

* Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management,Environmental Science or similar qualification or demonstratedfield experience in a similar role.
* Experience in working with native plants and care controlof natural areas.
* Considerable Experience in operating mowing equipment, handtools and minor plant.

This Six Month Max Term full-time position is a Level 5 OutsideWorkforce Agreement positions which attract a salary from $70,970to $ 74,200 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.

To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, orhave ability obtain a:

* A copy of Australian driving licence
* National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3months)
* Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
* The right to work in Australia
