Chartered Financial Planner – London
Mercer Private Wealth has an immediate vacancy for a Chartered Financial Planner to take over an established area of existing clients and help lead growth in new business opportunities in London.
What can you expect:
1. Provide financial planning advice to individuals through comprehensive KYC, undertaking a needs analysis and identifying solutions within the principles of best advice and suitability
2. Work in conjunction with the support team to produce advice reports to business and regulatory standards and implement solutions agreed with client
3. Manage workflow in conjunction with the support teams, ensuring that all associated administration is completed in an effective manner to meet the firm’s record keeping and file quality requirements
4. Work to agreed budgets and working practices as confirmed by the business and the direct reporting lines, helping our commitment to achieve growth via generating new business
5. Ensure that high standards of client care are met by demonstrating competence in all stages of the advisory process, operating at all times in a manner which befits a certified Person and complying with the FCA’s Statements of Principles and the firm’s documented performance measures/standards and compliance plan
6. Demonstrate a commitment to Treating Customers Fairly and deliver good customer outcomes
7. Ensure maintenance of competence by constantly reviewing own training needs and, in conjunction with your Supervisor, addressing those needs in an appropriate and timely manner evidenced by an up to date Statement of Professional Standing (SPS)
8. To deliver ongoing services in a timely manner as determined by the business to a number of existing clients who pay regular fees to receive a designated level of service from MPW
9. The jobholder would also be expected to deal with advice enquiries from within and outside of Mercer, help promote our services to external introducers and work with colleagues from within Mercer and Marsh to find new opportunities
10. Strong adherence to operational processes and the businesses Training and Competence scheme.

What you need to have:
21. Qualified to Chartered Status with CII
22. Attained and current Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) from CII
23. Minimum of three years relevant industry experience
24. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
25. Comprehensive industry and technical knowledge
26. Able to work in a structured, efficient manner, using support staff where necessary
