Data Platform Manager
Salary - £40,000 - £55,000

A bit about the job:
This role resides in the Central Ingestion platform team, which underpins the company’s data reporting structure. Our stakeholders include all business functions across the company, for use within analytics, data science, servicing, marketing, and operations. The platform is split between three teams working with projects to ingest data in an AWS Datalake or directly to analytical tools such as Snowflake.
This role sits between the Team Manager’s and the Platform Leader, and the successful candidate will become the right-hand person of the Platform Leader, looking after key aspects of day-to-day platform management. The role involves working with business teams, including project and program managers and product owners to oversee, prioritise and resource the book of change work coming into the platform.
The role also interfaces with the central run and operations team to ensure stable service delivery to our customers. In this role, you will be required to work closely with the operations lead to ensure that all relevant engagement and resourcing processes are followed, and with the delivery teams to ensure agreed deliverables are kept on track and blockages and issues are resolved.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. Proficiency in change delivery, ensuring smooth transitions and effective implementation of data solutions.
2. Demonstrated strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines and objectives.
3. Excellent track record of problem solving, keeping the customer at the heart of any situation.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
5. Proven ability in stakeholder management and influencing skills, adept at building relationships and garnering support for data engineering initiatives across different departments and levels of the organisation.

6. Starting salary between £40,000 - £55,000 (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications)
7. Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary - Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s
