About the Role As our Cultural Programme Manager, you will be responsible for developing, curating and delivering an ambitious cultural calendar for The Fife Arms and wider community. From major festivals such as the Braemar Literary Festival and Burns Night to intimate workshops, artist residencies and live music, you will ensure culture is woven into the heart of the guest experience. You’ll work closely with the Marketing and Events Teams, Artistic partners, and local cultural organisations, while also managing our Cultural Programming Events Host. Some flexible remote working is possible by arrangement, but this role is primarily based at the hotel. What You’ll Do Programming & Partnerships Curate and deliver festivals, exhibitions, workshops and special projects across Scotland. Develop strategic partnerships with arts and cultural organisations nationally and locally. Collaborate with Hauser & Wirth on the Artist in Residence programme. Align cultural initiatives with marketing, guest engagement and community outreach strategies. Foster accessibility, inclusivity and community relevance in all programming. Programme Management Lead concept development and delivery of the hotel’s year‑round cultural programme, including live music and Art Room activities. Plan and execute major annual events such as Burns Night and the Braemar Literary Festival. Develop and deliver cultural activities at the Braemar Kirk. Conduct research, build networks with artists and cultural agencies internationally, and manage the annual programming calendar. Represent the Cultural Programming team in meetings. Event Hosting & Coordination Act as Event Host for cultural activities within the hotel and the community. Support event setup, staging, logistics and materials alongside relevant teams and external partners. Oversee ordering of equipment, props and resources. Finance & Administration Manage event details within internal planning systems. Coordinate with Marketing on key dates and promotional materials. Issue contracts, process invoices and maintain accurate digital records. Monitor budgets and prepare evaluation reports. Cultural Engagement Deliver Art Tours for guests. Create engaging educational and multimedia content inspired by the hotel’s art and history. Maintain creative resources in the Family Room. Support cultural training for staff. Research and share best practice across the cultural and hospitality sectors. What You’ll Bring Essential Experience in the cultural, education or events sectors. Excellent ICT and administrative skills. Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication. Highly organised and detail‑driven; able to multitask effectively. A proactive self‑starter with a strong work ethic. A collaborative team player. Desirable Experience in cultural event hosting. Knowledge of the Scottish cultural landscape. Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Art History, Museum Studies, Marketing or a related field. Proven leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams and projects. Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
