A great opportunity to work as a Administrator – Production & Commercial Support to join our client's fast‑paced production site in Chatteris, with an immediate start available.
Staffline are currently recruiting for Administrators.
Working Hours
The hours of work will vary depending on business needs with the average shift being Monday to Friday: 08:00am – 17:00pm. Some weekend shifts may be required.
Compensation
* £30,000 per annum
Key Requirements
* Must have access to own vehicle or reliable transport.
Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate production and stock records, entering data into internal systems and spreadsheets promptly.
* Check production paperwork for accuracy, including maths checks, stock rotation, QA comments, and traceability.
* Update and manage key Excel spreadsheets such as efficiencies, arrivals, stock predictors and costings.
* Ensure all communication—email, phone and in person—is professional, timely and constructive.
* Keep documentation organised, accurate and fully traceable.
* Liaise with Production, QA, Commercial and other departments to support smooth daily operations.
* Complete general administrative and ad‑hoc tasks as required.
Production Focused Responsibilities (depending on experience)
* Allocate and reallocate production sheets and update arrivals.
* Communicate order or arrival changes to the production team.
* Support the production office with phone calls, paperwork and time‑sheet updates.
* Assist the packhouse team on the line when required.
* Maintain office standards, ensuring a clean, safe and organised workspace.
Commercial Focused Responsibilities (depending on experience)
* Support the commercial team with data entry, spreadsheet management and reporting.
* Assist with customer and third‑party audits (ETI, BRC, Soil Association).
* Use Freshware or similar stock systems to maintain accurate commercial data.
* Support costings, grower claims, supplier communication and account management after initial training.
* Provide cover for buyers when required.
Ideal Candidate
* Ability to work in a team and enjoy working with data.
* Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* A proactive mindset with good attention to detail.
* Previous experience in Administrator roles required, experience within Fresh Produce or FMCG desirable.
