Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
Working closely with our Maintenance onsite teams, you will oversee all aspects of facilities management across multiple urbanest communities. You will drive operational performance, ensure compliance, and deliver high standards of maintenance and safety, while contributing to our mission of creating sustainable and supportive student communities.
Key Responsibilities for Regional Facilities Management:
* Lead and manage facilities operations across multiple urbanest sites in London, ensuring buildings are safe, compliant, and well maintained for all residents and staff.
* Develop, implement, and monitor planned preventative maintenance programmes, repairs, and upgrade projects, working closely with site teams and external suppliers.
* Ensure contracted building work Is carried out to a high standard Inline with health and safety regulations
* Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, Fire Safety requirements, and statutory building regulations.
* Champion sustainability initiatives across the region, supporting urbanest’s mission to deliver responsible, sustainable communities.
* Manage budgets efficiently, reporting on operational performance, expenditure, and identifying improvements to drive value for both the business and our residents.
* Lead and support the development of on-site Maintenance Teams, fostering a culture of professionalism, continuous improvement, and outstanding resident service.
* Deliver training, briefings, and guidance on safety, equipment, and industry best practice to facilities staff and other operational teams.
* Be a key point of contact for technical queries, emergencies, and escalation of facilities-related issues at your buildings.
* Contribute to mobilisation and opening of new urbanest sites, ensuring the delivery of operational excellence from day one.
Skills and Experience we're looking for:
* Proven experience in facilities management, property management, or building operations in a multi-site environment, ideally within residential or hospitality sectors.
* Demonstrable experience of managing maintenance programmes, statutory compliance, and Health & Safety in a similar role.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing site teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with colleagues, contractors, residents, and university partners.
* Analytical approach with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Confident user of building management software (CAFM, Concerto), Microsoft Office, and digital maintenance management platforms.
* Ability to prioritise and deliver operational tasks to tight timescales, across varied locations.
