We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Childcare Support Officer to help us deliver our vision of high-quality early years provision across Carmarthenshire. In this role, you will inspire and support childcare providers to deliver excellent standards of care, advise and monitor settings to ensure they meet and exceed expectations, and contribute to training and partnership work with a range of organisations. You will also lead Flying Start childcare provision in line with the National Minimum Standards (NMS) and Welsh Government Flying Start Childcare Guidance.

We are seeking individuals with experience in childcare and a strong understanding of child development, who recognise the importance of play and real-life experiences in early learning.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive and adaptable attitude, be a fluent Welsh speaker, and be able to travel throughout the county to support childcare providers.

DBS level:

An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk

Welsh language level - verbal

Level 5 - You will need to be able to communicate fluently in Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
